World War II German Luftwaffe Officers hand embroidered breast eagle in real silver bullion wire, now nicely golden-toned with age-related patina. Two-tone embroidery of at least five different gauges of wire on Luftwaffe blue-grey wool. We acquired this example from Italy in the 1980's at a flea market, so it may be a locally made variant. An excellent example of the embroiderer's art, with exquisite details and deep age toning. VG++ Condition.
