The Marinemusikkorps Nordsee at Wilhelmshaven presents twenty naval marches from fourteen sea-going nations. Highlights include the superb Japanese "Warship" (Gunkan) March, the march of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and even an Austrian (!) naval march named for that country¿s greatest nineteenth century admiral. Each salty piece is performed with feeling and skill in its own unique national "style," thanks to the deft direction of Fregattenkapitän Lutz Bammler. Complete contents include: Admiral Stosch-Marsch (Latann) / All Hands March (Benter) / Allzeit gute Fahrt (Latarius) / Anchors Aweigh (Zimmerman) / The Royal Australian Navy (Lithgow) / March of the Black Sea Fleet (Akimov) / Den Kongelige Danske Marines Honnormarch (Nielsen) / Flott voran! (Rundel) / Defileermars der Koninklijke Marine (Hazebrook) / Gunkan March (Setoguchi) / Marcia d¿ordinanza della Marine Militare Italiana (Matacena) / La Mer (Trenet-Schilling) / Regina-Marsch (Urbach) / Seeteufel Graf-Luckner-Marsch (Heyer) / Tegetthoff-Marsch (Rosenkranz) / Trafalgar (Zehle) / Under the White Ensign (Dunn) / Weiss ist das Schiff (Westphal) / Mars van de Belgische Zeemacht (Gasia).
